Sunday (1.13.08)

After having taken Thurs and just doing some running on the treadmill on Friday, I needed to do some kind of varied paced ride... even if it was only for an hour or so. I know the weather was nice, but it was too cold to risk trying to ride early a.m. outside.

Ride Time: 60 minutes

Max HR: 160

I spent the first 30 minutes building up a steady effort into some tempo riding. The last 30 minutes was spent varying the pace with some mock hills and short efforts.

Saturday (1.12.08)

Saturday's ride was inside... still hanging on to the cold and congestion. Still, I needed to do some intervals. After a 20 minute warmup and some intensive spinning it went like this. 3 min interval, 3 minutes rest. The first minute was spent building up to the desired pain level and the last 2 minutes were spent maintaining the proper pain until the 2 minutes was up. 3 minutes of rest in between was done while spinning low gears.
