New Project

OK... now that I've done the 2-weeks notice gig, I can share with you that I'm starting a new gig at REI on July 16th. On that day I will launch a project that has been going on behind the scenes for about a month. Green Apron Stories... A blog that will feature some of my 15 years of stories/dirt/art/etc. One of the major initiatives will be to eBay off all of the schwag I've collected in 15 years... the final schwag item will be the 15-year service award... a chrome, LaPavoni Piston espresso machine with Starbucks logos on it. I'll be using a silhouette of the machine as part of the branding of the blog. OH... I have t-shirts as well. Once I sell enough tees to offset the value of my 2-weeks of vacation that I have to leave on the table, I start donating the proceeds to a local charity... probably NW Harvest.

Don't worry... Ol' Curly will still be around... for a while. And yes, we had a great race on Sunday. It was off the hook.

Congrats Curly. Finally working for a cool company. ;-) We've an REI right over here in Reading, MA. Awesome store. Wen there all the time when I was into crawling around rocks and cliffs.
