How are we doing?

Good lightbulb Thursday racers! Ol' Curly's been up off and on since 10pm... Seems Lil' Curly is sick and when that happens he needs a little Curly attention to get back to sleep. That and Curly don't sleep well when Lil' Curly is sick and is off and on 104 degree temps. He's fine btw... and he has meds.

It's during these times of sleepless clarity that I write the stuff that I do... like yesterday's post.

Maybe today can be news day! Umm... how 'bout that vote yesterday to bring troops home by October or "no mo money"? The president said he'll quickly veto it... Rebublicans said "no money means we'lll be endangering our troops"

Huh? i think we did that when we sent them to war. I think we ensured that their families/lives/livelihood will never be the same. How do you get funding to fix that?

Think of how effective we'd be if we thought to use all those resources to take a stab at homelessness in our cities... or slowing the effects of GW (both of them)... or getting fat kids to ride bikes instead of watch TV and eat cheap sugars and fats... or improve the surface of the BG trail and 1st Ave for bike commuters... I think we have bigger fish to fry than throw more money and resources at a country that does not want us there.

"endangering the lives of our troops"... "signalling to the enemy how many American's they have to kill before we will give up"... is this a contest... HA! we showed them... we got a bunch of our own people killed for no reason... TAKE THAT! C'mon folks...

Now Ol' Curly don't need any arguments on how war boosts our economy with jobs and such... and how history has shown... blah blah... BS. History has shown us that we're a bunch of big idiots and that we have a long way to go. Case in point... 3 people have complained that the new 520 bridge plans will obstruct their view... Umm... hi 3 people... screw yer view.
