ok... This is a story told in true Curly fashion.
This happened on my walk through the SODO district this morning. I heard a man say "God Bless ya sir... Go get 'em. Make it a good one!" It came from the left... so I looked and Ol' Curly saw what appeared to be a very cold homeless man propped up against the wall of a building. Now normally, Ol' Curly just says "Hi" and keeps walking, but then he remembered his ranting of last week, so he stopped and walked over to the feller.
Curly ~ "How long ya been out here?"
Feller ~ "Not long"
Curly ~ "Ya cold?"
Feller ~ "I've seen colder days"
Curly ~ "When is the last time you ate?"
Feller ~ "Yesterday mornin'. It was good too. I had collected $2.80 the day before, so I went to McDonald's and ate off the dollar menu"
Curly ~ "Here you go man... do whatever you want with it. Just make it a good one."
Curly pulls out the contents in his pocket ($5 bill, some lint, and a receipt from QFC)
Feller ~ "Thanks man... you made my day."
Curly ~ "No... you made mine"
Curly then goes to cross the street and an executive (in a big black Mercedes) from Curly's company gets all pissed that he has to wait a second for a pedestrian and honks his horn at Curly. Curly promptly flips him off... and then motions for him to drive over the red carpet... like a peasant would do to a king... Curly's departmental "boss" is the next car behind him and sees the whole thing... This should be a good day.

For all your Coach Crustiness, you're obviously a softie. Good thing there are a few left or this world would be a really sad place.
On another happy note, it's been reported that the "Saturday was the Ballard crit" blog is going to be updated with "Saturday was the Ohop mudfest." Maybe that was just blogger's BS via email, but don't forget to check that link once in a while! (Is this how rumors get started?)
I check it every day... like an Advent calendar... waiting for their to be a chocolate behind the little cardboard door. Sadly tho... there has been no chocolates for months.

Hey, I'd bet that guy you gave the $5 to was a former wanna be Pro bike rider!
Nice gesture, though. there's a guy on the BG trail who sleeps under bridges and has a bike, I've been thinking of giving him some brekkie money too, maybe I'll do it now....thanks Curly.
And thanks for a great race yesterday.
He's baaaaaack....Stupid Cyclist, that is, and quite offensive too!
I like it!
