Name That PRO! Answer Friday!!!

Edouard Louis Joseph Merckx ~ 525 PRO wins... The PRO that holds second with 193 PRO wins goes to... the fella who also had never won a Rainbow jersey. This PRO also holds the record for number of pints consumed after a Paris-Roubaix and was recognized for his hard-as-nails approach to training and racing. In the humble opinion of this BLOGger also held the worst, least aerodynamic cycing position in the history of cycling.... The last gritty old-skool cyclist... I present: THE ANSWER!!!

Now judging by some of the answers I think you folks need to study up on the history of cycling. We could learn a thing or two about cycling from these folks. Like how black DO toenails get from clips and straps? How crappy is the pay for PRO cyclists in 1978? How hard is it to follow a training methodology from 1950? How DO you time trial with no clip ons? What's a helmet? How do you shift without Ergo or STI? How CAN you do a Col on only 10 gears with your lowest being a 42X25? Rey Leone had 191 wins btw... with the last one occurring in 2005... even if he wins his tax lawsuit (assuming I'd count it)... he's still one short. Nice participation this week still.

Today, I'd like to see at least two comments on Pereiro and two on the quality of Chinese factories. My opinion... based on my experience last night at the Mandarin Kitchen in Des Moines... Chinese food is as good as (if not better) American foods like Pizza and Hot Dogs... If you get a chance, go visit Mike at Mandarin Kitchen... It's Good Eatin'.
Have a good weekend... see you on Monday.

Yes, Mick... I know that Kelly was from Curraghduff, near Carrick-on-suir... it's just easier to put Guinness in a video and have folks recognize it. Like when people say "I'm from Dublin!!!" when actually they live outside of Dublin and they get tired of telling people they're "from just outside of Dublin"

Thanks TEC4, that gets the day off to a better start. After discovering both our bikes had flat front tires in the garage?

Bollocks! I would have rode those flat tires 100 miles before changing them... uphill, in the rehn... all after I eht me some cabbage pies and finished me pint.

Well, I am ashamed to admit that I was one of those Cipollini votes. I'll never be able to set foot in Carrick-on -suir again!! Shame on me.

and you were close... there's no shame in that

Ah, coach, yer gettin' soft. Did you not say just a few days back somethin' like "if yer not gonna win, what's the point?" And now yer tellin' O.A.D. there's no shame in being "close"?? I can't speak to the quality of Chinese factories, only the output thereof. And yeah, $10 per bike for tandems would be cool.

Now play the game right... Coach Curly would have railed OAD for something like that, but TEC4 has a soft side... cuz he's been a 4 for so long...
