Howdy Chain Manglers! Ol' Curly is going to satisfy your need for a good ol' rant today. Now before I start sounding like a total ass-bastard, I'd like to point out that this rant comes out of love... and LC2 kept my ass up from 1:45 until now...
Now Mrs. Curly belongs to a couple of them MOPS groups... You know... Moms get together, bitch about their husbands, brag about how great their likes are compared to others and drink... OK... so Mrs. Curly picked one from a church so there ain't no sippin' whiskey there... Anywho, one benefit of the MOPS organization is that when a member has a baby, the others shign up to bring food to the newly crowned family 3 times a week. Now Ol' Curly has been patient with the "food" items that have passed the Curly house threshold (or CHT if you like). Last night was the final straw... I can no longer keep quiet and just be damned appreciative. Curly is a believer that if you decide to do something for someone.... do the damned thing right and do it to the hilt. It's just how I am.
This friggin casserole we got last night was so bad. I was going to take a picture of it but decided to respect y'alls ability to hold down yer breakfast. I am not kiddin' when I say it was made with leftovers. Gray asparagus, fatty pot roast, chopped lunchmeat ham, 4 kinds of noodles (all cooked in the same pot prolly) some bread crumbs and topped off with American Cheese. Now I'll eat the ass out of a 3-day old dead raccoon if I'm hungry enough but I just couldn't eat it.
So here goes MOPS... Let's try this from now on. Just go to Dream Dinners or Costco... flash yer card... and grab one of them Lasagnas out of the case. Curly will be much happier. You could get Curly one of them Pizzas pictures above... he likes those.
Hats off to our friend Dee... she made us some chicken with a glaze.

yeah...
oh man...
we moved in and a "friend" brought over a freezer (our freezer) full of food. Well most of it wasn't frozen when we got it...
but...
:puke:
i tried the chicken burritos... bones and crappy chicken and awful seasoning... the rest just hung around in the freezer till we needed the space...
*shutter*
wtf is it with those scary casseroles (shit, now i remember the one a neighbor in michigan brought over after the second kid was born... sub rice for pasta and tuna for pot roast and wretched gray beans for aspergrass... )
that pizza looks pretty good...
$2 of fresh pizza dough, $0.50 of sauce, dollar or two each of cheeze and bazil ya got a killah meal!
