Boonen Revelations 3:4:07

And it was on the 3rd month in the 2007th year that he cast down a shadow on his enemies. Let thou not forget the effort of brother Steegmans who so generously pulled a rib from his own body to fashion a victory for the King from it. Yes, brother Steegmans cast aside his own personal glory for that of the King and in that selfless act, earned himself a place among the 5th place finishers in the kingdom of K-B-K GC. The king hath squashed the milk (Milram) from the breast of the peloton... he hath melted the hopes of the Chocolades. He hath cashed out the lottery ticket of the righteous Les Jeux.

And in this celebration of the King ye must not forget young, humble Ferrar... who has stumbled into the cave of the Lions to play with them... taking for himself... a 9th place.

Ya had to go and bring the Book of Esther into this now didn't ya... I do like that Purim workout tho.

2/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup orange juice (the smooth kind, not the pulpy)
1 cup white flour
1 cup wheat flour (DO NOT substitute white flour! The wheat flour is necessary to achieve the right texture!)
2 tsp. baking powder
Various preserves, fruit butters and/or pie fillings.

Is this going to make one of those Yiddish-sounding ...taschen thingies that I had today that was really bad pastry with I-don't-know-what inside but folded up all pretty? I think I'll have to dust off my favorite Irish soda bread recipe here in a couple o' weeks.
