Monday Madcap

The Tour of Qatar is over and sadly... Quickstep missed out on cleaning up the entire tour by one stage. There's nothing worse than trying to collect things only to have one missing... it ruins the collection. Take my commemorative Jack Daniel's collection for instance... I've got all in the series of "Scene's from Lynchburg"... all signed by Jimmy Bedord and JD's grand-niece AND the master taster... except one... ain't nothing more frustrating than that. Except for not being able to drink it of course.

Did a little riding over the weekend... which resulted in a cold. Again. I'm on JD-aroma therapy right now to fix that. While we was out... we made sure we waved like hell to each and every rider that went by. I think folks thought we was crazier than a horse in an ice rink.... but I think we came across as friendly. Now take my local Papa John's pizza... I never saw a bigger bunch of rude pizza grubbin', Super Bo watching jackholes than when I went to pick up the football pizza. First... no one held the door for the person behind them. I actually saw a guy pull the door closed so he could get in the line quicker. I watched a little old lady nearly kill a pedestrian to get a parking spot and I saw a guy put his life on the line by walking in front of an SUV to get to the door quicker than everyone else. What in tarnation is goin on in people's heads? Now I'm all for competing on the race course... but when it comes to good ol' fashioned courtesy... Curly believes in it. I'm beginning to think there's something to this "survival of the fittest" thing... even today... in a world where we can get things instantly... we're still willing to shove our fellow man's face in the mud to git a pizza.

Curly got his pizza btw... AND he didn't win any of the pool... which is ok... Gamblin' ain't bike racin' and folks that think they're good at "Luck" can kiss my jackhole... ok... sorry bout that. I'm still a little miffed by not winnin' any of the pool.

Training: Rest day... 20X 20 minutes all out intervals...

see you tomorrow.

Any chance of a sneak preview of your team jersey for 2007? The author of the forgotten and orphaned blog wants a hat, but not in the old colors....
