Howdy crankin' fools... Ol' Curly don't usually take to being an activist, but in light of recent developments with the City Cycling Plan (or CCP), I'd thought I'd resurrect this gem from Johnny Stardust for you. What the hell is wrong with this country anyway?

here's the difference man...
no gang of yuppie seattle city planners can fix that problem...
(despite the fact that they think they can, because they are from seattle, and people from seattle think they know everything)
we don't eat McDonalds here in Seattle. We eat at places called "Palace Kitchen", "Wild Ginger" and "Flying Fish"... City planners are making such mistakes cuz they're drunk all the time...
We're no Denmark
that video is beautiful
we can learn a great deal from this
Washington DC is no where near this
CARS SUCK!
Wild Ginger USED to be all that...
food sucks now... but i hear it is still as trendy as ever...
Gimme Bamboo Gardens... THAT is the place to eat...
or, go real old school Native Seattlite and revert to Tratoria Michelli...
and... Drunk? In C addle? NO WAY...
okay - not sucks - in post comment submission i need to correct the statement...
the food went down hill, prices went up quality/innovation went down...
but then that would be like all the Seattle institutions that went big...
Redhook bought by Bud = downhill...
I cried as I watched that Video. I'm watching cars drive by my shop, too fast, too reckless, too lazy, too inconsiderate, too many.
I haven;t driven my car since the end of march ad I don't miss it at all. I have driven with my wife maybe 2 handfulls of times since then, I ask her to walk or ride with me instead. Gas is still too cheap here, Cars are too affordable, insurance companies want you to drive so they can take your money.
Cars are viewed as a success status symbol, bicycles are viewed as a toy. Peopleput too much faith in their belief that they need a car.
We drive to bike races, which is weird, but we do it anyway. We set ourselves to be auto-reliant instead of thinking things out to form an alternate choice.
